My favorite piece of art,originally painted for a contest he did not win. St.Anthony,considered by many to be the father of all monks lived in the desert for 20 years. He was often tempted by the Devil...as you see here all the temptations of the modern world are seen. Women,riches,large buildings...if only one can be so lucky.
